With the population getting older we face a situation where the government will not be able to keep up at present tax rates unless people become more self-sufficient in retirement. Why should the new generation face the prospect of even higher taxes simply because a large chunk of the population suddenly starts to retire? The government is willing to spend money now in the most effective way it can come up with to alleviate future problems. If you can work out a scheme that better approaches the problem, why not write it down and send it to your local MP? May I ask. What is the point? I have a scheme which MAY work. Whatever Government is there the people can vote next time we have an election. If they do this then that is fine. But we can not vote civil servants out can we? Also we can not remove LIST people under MMP. I have talked to my local Member and also used Email. No reply. Personally I did not want to get rid off the Skyhawks. I do not want to do without a Privy Council. I want Justice as opposed to Law. I have my 65th birthday on July 14th 2007. Waits for comments. |
