The problem is gaining a strong enough user base and matching the performance of monolithic systems. FreeBSD, DragonFlyBSD and OS X use a microkernel (of sorts). Between them, they would have a sizeable user base. |

| 565705 | 2007-07-04 10:48:00 | By your spelling and grammar, I would be skeptical. I know my spelling sucks, I know my grammar is not the best, to imply that this means I can't have a good idea is offensive. your post makes it sound that you think bad spellers are stupid. |

First, you need someone big to talk to Microsoft and trustable but it is never gonna happen. Set your own business and get going. Microsoft will try stealing the idea if successful. Don't be stupid telling to Microsoft, but make sure you got a good lawyer too because they just gonna rob you unless you got a big co-operation to bribe those lawyers enough. i.e. Carlos Slim got way too much money to bribe the lawyers, than Bill Gates. :p Don't talk about my option given, sometimes it works but most of the time most people don't trust this or an imaginative way. |

He got contacted by MS to go over for a time and work on some simsilar things for them . He didn't . He kept the letter . I saw it . We all thought he was mad, huge pay, free accommodation, free meals . And the infamy . But yeah, best bet is to make this thing, have it become popular and then MS will either steal it or buy it . |

Thats the point. For an idea to be taken seriously, you should are least make sure that your spelling and grammer is correct. If you write a letter to microsoft with the spelling and grammer used here, then they would just ignore you. You may have the best idea in the world, but communication and marketing is the key. |
