The South Island High Country and Southern Alps, including Mount Cook, are nearby and in fact on a clear day you will be able to see Mt Cook's peak . Lake Tekapo is good for trout fishing as are the hydro canals not too far away . Click on all the links just underneath the webcam for the different views . A couple of weeks ago it was all covered in snow down there which had gone by last weekend but I see they had another sprinkle on the mountains a couple of days ago . |
