565966 2007-07-05 03:31:00 Since I like to use the transparency mode in nView on the screen, is it not really about the same as Vista Aero?

And..since Aero is such a systems hog, why do I not see a slowdown in performance with nVidia?

Is it the RAM on the nVidia card that helps?

Aero also blurs the background, rather than just fades it.

Seems to me that there's a lot of memory consumed to keep the pass-over/blur sprites showing.

This was one of the problems I had in the olden days...

I could use sprite collision detection

<call(SCD)>

0001) if SCD=0, then ?T: for T= 0to127, next T
0003) if T = (x), then RND(2val x6 thru x12); goto SCD
0005) return: ?RND(x)

and pass-over/under or flow-throughs, but actual transparency was impossible with the RAM we had.
