| 565966 | 2007-07-05 03:31:00 | Since I like to use the transparency mode in nView on the screen, is it not really about the same as Vista Aero? And..since Aero is such a systems hog, why do I not see a slowdown in performance with nVidia? Is it the RAM on the nVidia card that helps? |

Aero also blurs the background, rather than just fades it. |

| 565968 | 2007-07-05 16:26:00 | So...is it just a pixelation defect or is there some fractal technology involved to "blur" things underneath in AERO? Seems to me that there's a lot of memory consumed to keep the pass-over/blur sprites showing. This was one of the problems I had in the olden days... I could use sprite collision detection <call(SCD)> 0001) if SCD=0, then ?T: for T= 0to127, next T 0003) if T = (x), then RND(2val x6 thru x12); goto SCD 0005) return: ?RND(x) and pass-over/under or flow-throughs, but actual transparency was impossible with the RAM we had. |
