753445 2009-03-04 23:31:00 Put in a Geforce 6200TC yesterday afternoon to replace my built-in intel(r) graphics, dl'd the drivers from nvidia.com, uninstalled old drivers and installed new ones.

I restart comp like it tells me to and it runs like nothings wrong, couple seconds later it starts lagging like a mofo and whenever i try to view anything that would need to use the graphics is has a heart attack.

I thought that the newer drivers might've caught aids and no longer work so i went back and downloaded the previous version and that still didn't work.

I've run the installations through safe mode and nothings working.

Sucks to be me as i've got some videos to edit this week and at this rate i wont be editing ****.

Btw there is an option to go back to the older graphics card it's just i don't know what it is, i uninstalled the drivers for it so i can't plug it back in and use it because it doesnt even recognize anymore.

753446 2009-03-04 23:54:00 Have you gone into the BIOS and disabled the built-in graphics card as it may be conflicting with the 6200TC? CYaBro (73)

753448 2009-03-05 00:13:00 Hi, I would help, but I'm protesting over the advertising hell on this web-site...sorry! SolMiester (139)
753449 2009-03-05 02:26:00 In device manager, is the graphics card installed properly (that is, are there any exclamation marks in yellow triangles?)

Also the graphics card wont matter when you're editing videos. Not a Geforce 6 anyway.

753450 2009-03-05 02:43:00 Do as CYabro suggests if not already done so, or try driver sweeper from here downloads.guru3d.com(Setup)_d1655.html Was going to suggest driver cleaner which use to be free, but you now have to pay $9-99 US for it. Trev (427)
753451 2009-03-05 02:52:00 You can still get DriverCleaner Pro free from: downloads.guru3d.com

(but it's and old version and no longer updated) It should work for your drivers though.
