| 753438 | 2009-03-04 20:49:00 | First of all - while playing a game and recording the screen using ASUS's Gamer OSD the system flicked to a blue screen with some text before resetting. Why is this happening? I thought the BSOD didn't exist in XP. Also Windoes has decided that I have a 5.25 inch floppy drive in my PC. Of course I haven't got one, so I am quite concerned by this. I thought it could be one of the system monitoring utils I have installed? | sammo450 (13626) | ||
| 753439 | 2009-03-04 21:03:00 | Sorry to tell you BUT the BSOD exists in XP. Always has, it probably exists in Vista as well Next time it crashes, tell us what the BSOD screen says Press the windows key + pause / advanced / startup and recovery / settings. Untick automatically restart. Or go to event viewr (start/run type eventvwr). Look under application / system . Look for any bugcheck / X errors about the time it crashed. Double click on it. Click on the icon under the down arrow. Then paste it here Its probably what youre doing thats crashing it Look in the BIOS and disable the floppy, if its enabled |

| 753443 | 2009-03-05 02:34:00 | What does Gamer OSD actually do? does it capture a video of what you're playing? Maybe the problem is also caused by video codecs in that case . . . Doesn't Fraps or something also do the same thing? |

| 753444 | 2009-03-05 21:16:00 | Yes I think it is similar to fraps. It allows you to view your FPS, OC your GPU while gaming and take screenshots and videos. Could be codecs but I can play videos fine. I'll try changing the format to wmv instead of mpeg4. | sammo450 (13626) | ||
