753252 2009-03-04 01:55:00 I have two WinXP computers networked through a Linksys All-in-One ethernet router.
No broadband / internet connection.
We are running MYOB Retail Manager.
The 2ndary computer accesses the data from the MYOB data store on the primary.
There have been multiple times when the data hasn’t been recorded & we have been forced to re-enter the day’s activity.
MYOB has worked us through many different loops without any satisfaction; we’re still loosing the data.
MYOB now claims that the data is becoming corrupted in the network.
Is that possible?
Could the network router be faulty?
Any suggestions on how to rectify the situation?

753253 2009-03-04 02:54:00 Sounds like maybe MYOB is being used on the primary PC when the secondary is accessing the MYOB data, and any changes made made on the secondary aren't being committed; I'd guess MYOB is basically a database, so if any of the tables/records were in use, they'd be locked/read only.

Are you using a server/client version, or just the single-user basic one??

Also, the power management on the primary might be shutting of the NIC due to inactivity, so it's effectively falling off your LAN?
