2009-03-04 01:08:00 | I have gone to Vista and Front Page no longer works properly. I'm looking for something to do a couple of basic (but presentable) web pages at about the same level as Front Page and which will work on Vista? Any recommendations, - ideally free but not essential. | Sergio (928) | |
2009-03-04 01:19:00 | There are a few free ones about - one thats no to bad is WebsiteX5 - There is a free basic version thats gets put out in several magazines, that can be downloaded from here (www.mydigitallife.info) the paid version, of which there is a trial, can be downloaded from Their site (www.websitex5.com). if you do a search through the forum posts, there are several others that are free and work quite well.

2009-03-04 01:50:00 | Serif Webplus 10 is a real easy program to use, you don't even have to know any html. I've been playing with it lately & knocked up a quick site for a client at www.childrensmaorisongs.com. Much prefer Dreamweaver or Flash but Webplus is great as it's a WYSIWYG prog. and works on Vista 64 bit. | fnphoto (2434) | |
2009-03-04 03:58:00 | Looked at Serif Webplus but there doesnt appear to be a free or trial version. Also checked out Website X5: - was promising but found out at the end that the free/trial version wont allow you to publish your work, export or save to disk or view in Explorer, - so cant really get a fix on how good it is.............?? Thanks jwil1 but designing a webpage with notepad is hardly suited for a beginner!

2009-03-04 04:13:00 | Hi wainutech, - I got as far as export functions and tried all options. Each time I got the message that this feature was not available in the trial version. Was able to save the site to disk but file format wasnt in a form which could be read by a browser. Guess its just not my day!! Thanks anyway. | Sergio (928) | |
