752756 2009-03-02 18:56:00 I am having a problem with MS Excel when I download my bank statement in CSV format then when I have finished formatting it and go to resave it as an .xls spreadsheet I get an error message with the usual bit at the end about sending the error message report to Microsoft or not.

I only get this error message on one computer (I have tried it on 3 machines and the others work fine) and only if I format any cell in the spreasdheet in bold, italic or underline. Some totals I like to put in bold and that is when I get the error message when I go to save it as an .xls spreadsheet.

I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 with Norton Antivirus and also have a spyware and registry checker running.

I have uninstalled Microsoft Office and re-installed it to no effect. This machine and Windows installation is only about 6 months old and the problem is annoying - any ideas please.

752757 2009-03-02 19:05:00 Try running a repair on excel - see if it detects / finds anything.

The following is for Office 07

Click the Microsoft Office Button, then click Excel Options.
Click Resources.
Click Diagnose, click Continue, and then click Start Diagnostics.
