| 567579 | 2007-07-10 05:06:00 | I know theres some ageing :D Vinyl guys out there, so can any of you tell me the name of that skit by Peter Sellers where he took off what I think was a political speech and talked for about 10 minutes without actually saying anything? What about the workers what about the workers indeed was part of it as I recall. |

| 567580 | 2007-07-10 05:15:00 | Peter Sellers played the shop steward (Fred Kite) in the film I'm all right, Jack. "What about the workers" comes from that movie. I do have an idea that he used it elsewhere ... it was as an interjection to a lengthy content-free political speech, rather than part of the speech. Or perhaps that's how it came up in the film? It's a few years ago. ;) Probably Terry will know. |

(17 August 2001) A new weekly four part Radio 4 series looking at Workers Playtime, the classic radio variety show which was broadcast live to factories all over Britain, begins on Tuesday 21st August 2001 at 11:30 am. Destined to run for six weeks in 1941 it eventually finished in 1964 and featured such entertainers as Eve Boswell, Tommy Handley, Harry Secombe, Peter Sellers, Diana Coupland, Peter Goodwright, Nicholas Parsons, Janet Brown and Sheila Tracy. Try looking up BBC archives. And or here:- www.wepsite.de(Peter_Sellers).htm Please note that most Politicians today can adequately follow his example. |

| 567583 | 2007-07-10 05:37:00 | It is The Party Political Speech. You can hear a clip off Amazon here: www.amazon.co.uk Or, download the complete speech in .ogg format here: www.freaknet.org You are right, it is a 3 minute political speech that very cleverly says nothing, just like todays politicians. |
