They also had heaps of coverage of the people in Canterbury without power cooking on woodburners and wading through snow to attend to the animals. Its so pathetic that New Zealanders who live in the same country can have such ahtred for others in the same country. With such a redneck attitude imagine those sort of people ever going overseas. But of course the xenophobia wouldn't let them. |

I live further South than you and I can say its been quite mild with no wind or rian for most of the week. Frosts - big deal. That doesn't take your roof off or destroy property. A whole months rain in a day? sounds like news to me. Just because we south islanders don't seem to get as much media coverage probably has something to do with there being twice as many people in the north island.
