At various times in my career I have paid into insurance schemes connected to the company I was working for, when I left the company none of them made the slightest effort to contact me and find out what I wanted to do with MY money that I had left in their safe keeping and to this day it has just disappeared.

Best to keep any money you have under the mattress.

I heard recently about this great new invention for keeping contact with people - in fact several. They are called the telephone, the postal service, and more recently, email.

Stop whingeing and take responsibility for your life. I realized recently that I had some money tied up with a company I worked for 30 years ago. I wrote to them and now know (a) what money I am owed, and (b) when I will be able to get it - all for the price of a stamp.

You have the right to choose. Choose wisely. YOUR CHOICE."

Well, that takes us right back to the beginning and the point I was making:
I DO NOT have the right to choose! It is denied to me.
