| 566853 | 2007-07-08 05:06:00 | My son in Auckland thinks he's cold. He hasn't even got a heater going and is wearing only 1 jumper. Sook. North Islanders above the Bombay Hills don't even know what cold is. It has been a lovely sunny day today, though a pretty cold one - I don't think we went above 6 deg here. At 4pm it was 4 deg outside and the frost along the sunless fenceline didn't completely disappear. We are going to get an even colder frost tonight by the looks of things as the temperature is now dropping by the minute. :waughh: |

| 566858 | 2007-07-08 08:14:00 | We even got some minor condensation with double glazing. Quite a pleasnt 40 here in Bangkok. Now how the heck do you manage to be in ChCh and in Bangkok at the same time? Or did you get minor condensation on your Bangkok double glazing? |

| 566859 | 2007-07-08 08:16:00 | Arrived back in NZ at 1am, Freakin hell, I wanted to get back on the plane and head back to Aussies perpetual summer. Instead I drove through the freezing night for 3 hours to get back to Wanganui. I've given up going to tropical places in the middle of winter. It's way too awful coming back to our freezing conditions, mentally as well as physically. :( |

| 566861 | 2007-07-08 21:33:00 | Having lived in Auckland and having been to steamier places like Bali, I'm quite happy down here. Sure it gets cold sometimes, but its nice and warm in here with the fire going, and you just put a coat or jumper on if you go outdoors. Beats Auckland summers sitting in the coolest spot you can find still sweating like a pig. And all night too. |
