752739 2009-03-04 09:57:00 Under internet time, change it to something like msltime1.irl.cri.nz

The time will be correct, what that error means is because the entry thats there (maybe windows.time.com), it cant synchronise, because this server doesnt exist (why MS put it there in the 1st place, I have no idea) !

I have a feeling this error here

Error 4/03/2009 10:37:23 a.m. Dhcp None 1002 N/A JNR maybe freezing the system. As it looks like its trying to renew the IP or something.

Or something (probably the onboard NIC) cant obtain an DHCP address

752743 2009-03-05 20:47:00 Sounds like your network adapters maybe stuffed, or theyre having probs, trying to get an ip address

Are you using ethernet and wireless?? If youre not using wireless kill it / disable it

Or your modem / router is playing up / screwed

I would say thats whats locking up the system

You didnt get the NIC / wireless drivers from the windowsupdate site did you??
Speedy Gonzales (78)
752744 2009-03-05 20:53:00 Nope, from HP website. I'm using wifi. Not wired. supersi (8401)
752745 2009-03-05 20:55:00 Try this (chicagotech.net)

Open up a command prompt

type ipconfig /flushdns and then ipconfig /registerdns

Did you give the wireless its own ip address or is it on auto?

I gave up on giving it it's own ip because I use my laptop at Uni and have to flick it to auto there. I got sick and tired of having to re-enter the ip every time.
I love to know if there's a way I can store my ip profile and with the click of a button restore it.
