568289 2007-07-12 10:39:00 I don't see the point of delivering the modem first. What could you do with it?
In our case they had to dig a hole (with a mole) and push the fibre optic cable through to the side of the house, then a day or so later a Telstra contractor came and drilled holes thru the concrete wall into the house and connected things up. It took him 1.5 hours to do the whole job, including configuring the internet. I was impressed. Nice little bloke. He was a refugee from Zimbabwe, black guy. Worked like a slave, if that's PC.

568291 2007-07-14 01:17:00 Got Telstra installed have to say im very impressed with the work very neatly and tidly installed tv is very clear internet is very fast and phone is very clear.

Very suprised as to how clear the tv is despite the fact it comes down a cable much better than the sky dish. Ten out of ten for telstraclear.

568295 2007-07-14 01:33:00 It is true though it was announced on the stuff website three months ago and also the installer told me yesterday. Hitech (9024)
568296 2007-07-14 01:41:00 It is a pity that Telstra's fibre is only in certain parts of certain cities around the country. While ADSL and it's various forms might be good, it will never match the capacity of fibre. winmacguy (3367)
