2007-07-09 23:57:00 | for those who feel that the current version is out of their price range. " Long lines of people turned out on June 29 when U.S. sales began for the iPhone, a mobile phone with a music player and Web browser. Analysts have estimated that sales in the first weekend were as high as 700,000 units. Chang said a way to follow up the iPhone with a cheaper version would be to convert the Nano into a phone and price it at $300 or lower. The iPhone sells for $500 and $600, depending on storage space." www.reuters.com

2007-07-10 01:35:00 | Just out of interest what is the price range for an eMate, Blackberry or HP iPaq phone in NZ? (plus cost of 2 year contract) | winmacguy (3367) | |
2007-07-10 01:41:00 | I just checked out Portables Plus for the HP iPaq starting at $744 incl so the iPhone doesn't look so bad pricewise. | winmacguy (3367) | |

2007-07-10 04:44:00 | Oh dear... wow... how nice Ken Tis all rumour and speculation at this stage, although considering the development history of the iPod family it is likely that a smaller possibly lesser featured version of the iPhone will surface in due course with a smaller price tag.

You have got me even more excited now. Two iphones that I can save a huge amount of money by not purchasing - if one could here in NZ.... I have already saved heaps by not buying an ipod! I feel good about that! Ken (Wots this then, no "Wash your mouth out with soap" smilie that I should use??) |
