This guy had posted saying his Seagate 250GB suddenly became a 128GB after being in an enclosure. I thought it was rubbish until I did a bit of googling.

No, this isn't a BIOS or O/S HDD limitation.
Its rather nasty. Maxtor is being sued now.

Not sure if its only Maxtor or not.....
