| 754147 | 2009-03-06 19:42:00 | Hi there all Im looking for a file copying program that can transfer files from one location to another location while retaining all its original properties, such as time created, time modified etc . The only program that I can think of is HDD cloners, such as Acronis True Image, but due to the limited HDD space that I have atm and the size required to keep a temporary image of the HDD this is not possible . So basically I have a 250GB worth of personal files, photos, video and such, that I want to transfer onto a 500GB HDD, but in such a way that all the files retain its original property . Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance :D |

| 754150 | 2009-03-06 20:19:00 | Thanks for the prompt reply guys, am downloading SynBackSe now to give it a go. A note, there are no programs on the HDD, just files. And by using normal copying process, from one location to another, the new file at the new location will have all its properties modified, it will no longer be the original properties. Eg Date created for original file was 23March06, once its been moved, the file will have a new Date created set to 7March09. Due to there are hundreds of files currently sorted by Date created (bcos of my lazyness), it'll be a nightmare trying to sort them if the Date created property is modified. Many thanks again :) |
