| 568946 | 2007-07-14 02:44:00 | Well, I been spending all me extra cash on buying bits and peices to slowly build up a pc of kick assness for myself. Lo and behold dirty little theives have taken it. Surprisingly the TV, DVD player, guitars, amps, the not-so-flash pc, vcr, ps2 and beer fridge are untouched. Police rekon they just smashed my window and grabbed what ever they could reach. Anyways..... So Im back to square one. Now I just want a decent XP, yup I want to play games. Problem now is cash is on the low. The window damage is quite massive, frame and all! Any money saving tips for buying PC of kickassness?? :dogeye: |

The dark underbelly of the PC world isn't that dark these days. Alot of guys are getting awesome results with the E4300, with most hitting 3.0GHz on the stock cooler. At 3.0GHz performance isn't far off the $425 E6850 and makes for awesome value at $160! The great thing about the E4300 is that you don't need good memory to get a good overclock, the stock FSB is only 200MHz so even cheap DDR800 shouldn't get maxed out. Most guys are hitting around 370MHz on high end air well below the 400MHz DDR800 is rated for! You can pick up 2gb of RAM from Pricespy for around the $150 that will be more than enough for overclocking a E4300. Pair the cheap CPU and memory up with a Gigabyte P965-DS3 for around $200 and you've got the base for a very solid overclocking platform that offers excellent performance. Then its a matter of just choosing the video card that offer sufficient performance and a PSU to match. |

It did happened to me too but the thief is a professional type, didn't break any windows etc, but quite a number of locked thing damaged i . e . door, cabinet, etc . |
