2009-03-06 09:32:00 | Cool, I'll try it now, I went to the site before I saw you're post, but I did download the same link. I triple checked. This is why I don't update my drivers, if they work I leave well enough alone

2009-03-06 09:56:00 | I've downloaded the file you listed, previous versions was uninstalled, computer restarted, download installed, restarted. Winamp & WMP play no sound, I checked the Volume in the Taskbar (at 0). put the volume on max & computer restarted (Not shutdown->startup, like the power flicked off for a sec). After the computer restarted still no sound, volume in taskbar at max, Device manager says it's working fine set as Default device

2009-03-06 10:10:00 | Since winamp is throwing up the error message ( as per post 1) check this - Winamp >Options> Prefs > Plugins > Output > out_ds > config make sure the device is set correctly in winamp - it could be holding it.

2009-03-06 10:59:00 | Just a thought, It seems your problem is when you use power dvd. maybe try reinstalling power dvd & see if that works. | shell49 (7096) | |
2009-03-06 11:00:00 | Winamp's error message has been fixed. Speedy Gonzales used Teamviewer. I'm not sure what, after a bit of checking around the computer restarted (like the power stopped for a sec). when it restarted it got to desktop for a coupla seconds & resarted, after a coupla of these it started up fully (Sound working), but with a Microsoft Error message. after clicking Don't send" everything seems to be working ok. Going to try scan disk & defrag, if that doesn't help I'm gonna take it to get fixed/cleaned

Whatever comes up click on repair problems, then reboot Go to start/run, type eventvwr. Go to application or system. Look for that crash (If it crashed). Or give me another code if youre still around for a sec. I'll have another look |

2009-03-06 20:45:00 | Speedy Gonzales used Teamviewer. I'm not sure what, after a bit of checking around the computer restarted (like the power stopped for a sec). Good ol team viewer -- I can tell you what happened -- Speedy scared the crap out of it, or more like scared it into working again or maybe just his golden touch :p:lol: What may have happened is when it shut down suddenly, some driver may have been " Stuck", when rebooting it took a few moments to sort its self out and then came right.

2009-03-07 01:35:00 | lol my computer shut down suddenly a few more times last night. so I figured I'd leave it & get some sleep. It started up fine (No error messages), maybe it's sorted itself out. A huge thanks to Speedy for helping & everyone else who provided tips as well it's much appreciated
