Go into the control panel, Keyboard, and reset the settings all back to default.

While in the control panel, go to regional and languages, select the keyboard tab / Change keyboards, make sure its set to English NZ.

Try restarting the PC in safe mode, keep tapping F8 - select Safe mode Via the arrow keys, see if the keys work correctly.

Also was there any software, programs or updates installed , then this started.

753916 2009-03-06 09:55:00 Ok these here look like th eoriginal HP keyboard Drivers for Vista.

The 32bit version (h10025.www1.hp.com) or the 64 bit version (h10025.www1.hp.com) - just make sure its the right model - obtained from HP's site (search.hp.com) - download the correct version and try installing, see what happens, if this doesn't fix it, you may need to try another board to see if that does the same thing.

753917 2009-03-06 10:36:00 only have one keyboard, though i have noticed it does stop after a while. like i was almost able to type this with out using paste.

Sounds like intermittent hardware problem to me

Try a different keyboard, try your keyboard on a different computer.
