570031 2007-07-18 23:06:00 I have yet to see a K/B under $35-$40 that comes with USB.

I've got 2 illuminated keyboards here there were under 35-40 when I brought them.

And both are only USB.

I've got 2 of those USB to PS/2 adapters here. Neither work.

They're only good for some mobos not all.

570033 2007-07-18 23:43:00 Haha, don't worry SuferJoe. :p All the way from America would hit me with postage!

I found a $1 auction on trademe for a double adapter, and so I hope nobody else wants it.

Oh, and Pctek, you might want to inform your customer his new P5K will not take his PS/2 mouse. :p

570034 2007-07-19 01:07:00 Everyone seems to get upset about the lack of legacy ports in the new motherboards, My work has about 7000 dell pcs and not one has Ps/2 ports, get used to it.

Upset? Exaggeration.
My customer did not order a mouse, he assumed he could use his old one. Can't say I noticed the big news announcement that we all need USB mice now.

And Dell? :yuck:

Just as a info:

To turn the DSE links into usable ones do the following:
www.dse.co.nz

Replace the bold bit with "en" (minus the quotes) and delete the bits in italics - that is View and the following "/"

I've seen a few Dells that are very lacking in legacy support. They are all really weird - the motherboard is on the wrong side of the case.
