569444 2007-07-16 07:26:00 Panasonic is said to offer the world's largest plasma screen, 261 centimetres diagonally (2.4 metres by 1.4 metres), weighing 220 kilograms and costing $105,000 (excluding installation).

Just a little bit outside my budget by about $104,500 I think.
Yeah, APC magazine had a quick writeup about this screen in this months edition

569445 2007-07-16 07:54:00 Winy and I want one,so why don't you?,we are talking when all probs with these lcd and plasma are sorted.

On the contrary I think I would get better value out of faster cheaper internet with great content, an efficient codec to enable/watch it all and a decent affordable home server setup to store it on size we already have a good 32 inch TV in the lounge and a decent stereo system next to it. Unfortunately the faster cheaper internet might just be a little while coming since everything else on my list is just about available now -except for the cash to buy it.

Indeed we were and if you can afford that beast it would look pretty awesome hanging on your wall. However the next step from the rather large plasma is to have it as part of your connected media centre where your DVD collection is stored uncompressed on your media server and streamed to the plasma screen.

I would find is rather vulgar,on par with keeping a 747 in my back yard,as I think most over 15 would agree.

Can't see myself paying more than my car cost for a device that just displays TV.

digg.com

and especially:
www.theinquirer.net

There have been others who have supposed to have replaced the above,I am not holding my breath.

was not pretty but i did get it home and it is now running off a S-Video cable to the PC and movies look so good on it :D

ill upgrade to a plasma when the same thing happens to me again :D
