568756 2007-07-13 22:12:00 Religion for my vote. Like Metla said, it isnt the alcohol its the person using it. rob_on_guitar (4196)
568757 2007-07-13 22:41:00 In moderation, none of them need be bad. In excess, all of them are. But while drunk/stoned people CAN be fun (although often aren't), a religious zealot is never a good idea anytime ever. Those consumed fully by the 'love' of god are hideous dangerous creatures, so I vote religion. mmmork (6822)

You could say that about religion also. There are a lot of "religious" people or "believers" who are not fanatics and do a lot of good rather than harm, just as there are are a lot of alcohol drinkers who cause no problems.

On a mass scale however, religion is the root of a lot of evil but then so is money, which isn't listed in this poll.

568759 2007-07-13 23:13:00 I also failed to list "The inferior use of English"...That would have garnered a few votes from the fanatic fringe dwellers..... Metla (12)
568760 2007-07-13 23:22:00 You left out politics Metla. If you combine political and religous differences you usually end up with a war of some description. winmacguy (3367)

The saying refers to the Love of money, not money itself, and I don't happen to think either is a match for religion.
