572144 2007-07-24 10:43:00 With the specs I have below in my sig, and about $400-$500 max to upgrade something, I need to make a decision between three things.

572146 2007-07-24 10:53:00 You cant have the Quad, it's for me......, nice clock on the D, what are you using to cool it? SolMiester (139)
572147 2007-07-24 10:56:00 . . . what are you using to cool it?

Stock cooler. On stock voltage too, it ain't bad. No temperature rise at all, 35-40 idle, 45-55 on load.

Competed it against a friend's E6300 and we pretty much got the same scores. He defeated me by a little though.

572149 2007-07-24 11:16:00 Why not get a E4300 and overclock the crap out of it? The majority are doing 3.0GHz+ on stock volts and cooling, then wait a month or two and save up the extra $100 and get a 8800GTS? Pete O'Neil (6584)

I fear of getting an overclocking dud....:(

572151 2007-07-24 19:13:00 You are asking us but you don't tell the main use of your PC?

For all we know it could be hard gaming in which the 8800 would be the best upgrade... Or it could be mass video editing which would be the Quad core... but almost any (if not all) CPUs these days is better than a CELERON!! :p

572152 2007-07-24 20:55:00 Good specs qazwsxokmijn, maybe a better PSU if you wanna overclock your current CPU. PedalSlammer (8511)
572153 2007-07-24 21:04:00 I'd always upgrade the graphics card over CPU. pctek (84)
