I went up North a while back.... doing 100kms in driving rain, straight stretch of road and thought, 'Hmmm, that looks like a Police car stopped up ahead'. Sure enough as my foot hit the brake I realised he was stopped right in the middle of the road... no flashing lights... not even any lights. I managed to slow enough to avoid him (yay for ABS) and was unimpressed to find that he was guarding a pot hole in the road :stare: |

Incident Type: Massive traffic disruption Massive traffic disruption North - Western Motorway. Police have currently closed the North - Western Motorway in both directions while they attend an incident involving potential self-harm on the Lincoln Road overbridge. Traffic diversions are in place at Te Atatu for West travelling traffic and at Hobsonville Road for East-bound traffic. To compound matters SH16 is closed at the intersections of Fosters and Station Roads. Motorists are strongly urged to either delay travel to these destinations or to seek alternate routes, West-bound traffic is currently backed up to the Waterview off-ramp.
