| 571323 | 2007-07-22 04:10:00 | I've just installed one of our old games, Kings Quest VII, on my Win XP PC just to see if it would work and to my surprise it does. We used to play it on the old Win 95 box - that's how old it is - so although a Google search found details on setting it up I wasn't really expecting any success. Only thing is that it's supposed to be for a 640 x 480 monitor so the game's window on my 1280 x 1024 LCD screen is not much bigger than this post reply box. :p Still, I'm sure my little eight-year-old niece will appreciate it and will probably be better than I am at solving the puzzles. I still haven't found the rope to get that darn hare yet. One thing that's a bit annoying is that I thought the characters would be able to run a bit faster on this machine but no, they still take their merry time moving from one scene to the next. :annoyed: Hmm..... I wonder if I can get Sam and Max working too? :p |

It ran on Win95 and I thought the graphics were mind blowing! The characters in that strolled everywhere as well ... | Jen (38) | ||
