570684 2007-07-20 23:16:00 Hey peeps,

As some of you may know I have just gotten an XFX 8800GTS 640MB XXX Edition GFX card and I have a Legend 7800GTX 256MB PCI-E GFX card which is just sitting here now... So I thought I might as well sell it 'cause there are no PCI-E PCs here that can use it...

It was brought in Jan 2006, has been overclocked, but never excesivly (50MHz core and 100MHz RAM), it is a stable little card and has never been near the max temp, has always had the HSF cleaned every month and will run most games at med-high at 1280x1024.

What sort of price should I expect when selling it?

Thanks :)

570685 2007-07-21 02:12:00 What I do with my old stuff is go look at the closed auctions on TM and see what others actually got for their similar items.

Then I go sell them on Gameplanet.

570686 2007-07-21 05:23:00 I have looked on TM and there is only one there for $260 and IIRC that has been there for a while... The_End_Of_Reality (334)
570687 2007-07-21 07:52:00 To be honest I think $250 is overpriced....but some people managed to sell some 7800GTXs for about $240. qazwsxokmijn (102)
570688 2007-07-21 08:26:00 Yeah, so do I.

I am thinking around the $200 mark?

570691 2007-07-21 22:17:00 And notice the one that sold for $280 was in June, the one that sold for $205 was July.

Put it here:

570692 2007-07-21 22:31:00 Yes, I did notice that... what do you think it will go for on GP? The_End_Of_Reality (334)

Depends what offers you get.
You list it either with a price or ask for offers over a certain amount or whatever.

Its pretty good, I've had stuff on TM and people have dithered and stuffed around and I've just sold them on GP instead with a minimum of fuss and negotiating.

If it lingers then the price is too high - you'll get an idea from peoples offers.

They are fair, sold my brothers old bits, my sons old PC and some misc bits and pieces.
