| 572236 | 2007-07-25 11:44:00 | Dear all, I am going to the ball with my partner in a month's time. As a frequent PressF1 forum contributor (note: geek), I am partially at lost as to what to do on that evening (to some extent, in the wee morning of the next day). Below is a list of what I have in mind at the moment: Dancing - How do I dance to rock / pop / R&B music? Eating - No problem with that Drinking - Automatically out for us, since both of us vowed not to drink on that night Chatting - No problem with that, but it is not going to last us through the whole night... Anything else to add to that? I know I am risking of being called an idiot, but I don't care as long as I can make her happy on that night in return for her enthusiastic desire to go out with me. Don't even think of telling me to transfer my genes recreationally. Cheers :) Mmmm - I agree, stay away from transferring genes. Maybe you could transfer jeans instead but then again that could lead places. |

(But make sure you move your arms) Also get out any movie with Patrick Swayze in it. Remember " She's like the wind" and watch out for those "Hungry eyes" |

| 572240 | 2007-07-25 22:08:00 | Just be yourself and do not put on any acts . However, if "yourself" includes clamming up like shell or mumbling about rugby, then put an act on and try to look interested and interesting! Dancing: If you can't dance then just sort of jiggle around - copy some of the other guys . Don't refuse to dance or go on about how you hate dancing . If you at least try to dance and look like you are enjoying yourself without knocking out/over people near by or her, you will get brownie points for this . Chatting: you don't have to talk just about yourselves . Do you have common friends/interests you can discuss, or better yet join in with their group conversations? After events: If you don't have a (semi-respectable) party that you have been invited to, then consider finding a late night cafe/bar if you feel things are going well . Otherwise just take her home . How long have you known her for? PS* after reading your subject heading, I thought you were suggesting that you were wanting to "transfer your genes recreationally" . :p Don't even think of telling me to transfer my genes recreationally . From the original post . Did you read the whole post? And now I will hit the submit reply after having thought about the issue . |

| 572242 | 2007-07-26 08:08:00 | But in your origional post it was the "wee small hours" I beg your pardon, but what "wee small hours" are you describing here? Sarel: You don't need to know the jiggy stuff to show to the whole world that you have grown up. And besides, girls are not impressed with those jiggles. Cheers :) |

If you ask the wrong question it is likely you will get an answer that will not add up. "I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant." www.quotationspage.com Have fun at the Ball. |

| 572245 | 2007-07-26 11:16:00 | Hi Sweep, sorry for the confusion. The ball runs from 7.00pm onwards, and will likely end in the wee morning of the next day. It doesn't mean that we have to get out of the venue once 12.00am strikes, and therefore we can still remain there until god-knows-when. Cheers :) |
