Not for the squeamish and best viewed on an empty stomach. Cheers Billy 8-{) :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: P.S. This is the actual avatar file with the brightness and contrast corrected, I don't have this sort of stuff on my search list. Bet Metla's mum doesn't either. |

| 571162 | 2007-07-24 22:50:00 | Recently I applied for finance through a company for ~$500. I also have an existing student loan. No other debts, assets of more than the amount applied for and the student loan combined. The student loan is being paid of at the minimal rate direct from my pay, and we would have been able to pay the finance off at ~$50 per month. However the company turned me down Is it not possible to get ANY hire purchases while paying off a student loan? I work full time, and have family to support, but the payments would not have been a problem. To pay the student loan off at more than the minmal rate will still take years anyway. Am I screwed for all finance until said student loan is paid? I don't actually have a student loan but am paying off a car and 1 other H/P as I only allow myself to H/P 1 thing at a time. I'm lucky enough to have my lawns included in my rent and would hate to have to pay all that money out for some company to do them. Have you tried a different company for your H/P? No harm in giving it another go. I think the idea to save up for something is a great idea or even lay by it but that can be a hard find money wise for some, so for those who have no other choice H/P is the way to go. Silver lining ...... will increase your credit rating. I personally don't trust anything with a motor or electronics second hand but thats just me. |

| 571165 | 2007-07-26 19:34:00 | Update on this thread (the original topic anyway): Got hold of the finance company and asked why I got refused. They said for a single adult with one child, my income to expenditure ratio was unacceptable. When I said uhh, did I not say I was in a defacto relationship, they said "no, how much does she earn. I advised she was on family support and they said it didn't matter, how much does she get per week? Anyway, to make a long story short, when they added her income to mine, taking into account our child as well, they said they were quite happy to give us the required amount. And yes (someone mentioned this earlier), I prefer to buy new, and I prefer reputable brands, hence why I sought credit. And yes, I have looked at this analytically to make sure I dont get myself into dire straits Thanks all for your replies (both on and off-topic :D) |

| 571166 | 2007-07-27 14:35:00 | But the main thing is that you need to know to service the spark plug if your mover engine keeps dieing because the spark plug is coved with carbon. if you ever find yourself in this situation your fuel mix is too rich: clean the air filter, maybe run a hotter plug or get a mechanic :groan: and the rest of his post made little/no sense to me |
