571557 2007-07-23 04:01:00 Would rather the Gigabyte version (www.gigabyte.co.nz)its cheaper for a start!
Eh? Gigabyte's entry-level P35 motherboard is $192 (GA-P35-S3). Asus's entry-level P35 motherboard (Asus P5K) is only $188. Well, woop-dee-doo - I just saved up $4! :p

Erh, we arent talking entry level here, there is like $60-$80 difference between these board, BUT the most important difference is the Gigabyte has the better chipset for Quad OC'ing......dont get me wrong, I like nvidia chipsets, but the 680 series does have issues.

571559 2007-07-23 04:36:00 3DMark06 - 8664
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550
2GB DDR2-667
Nvidia 8800GTS 640MB DDR3
Engine Clock 500MHz
Memory Clock 1.6GHz (800MHz DDR3)
Memory Interface 320-bit

Not bad, better than the last one which had AMD and a GTS in it. This is standard, no overclocking or anything.

This is the first I've seen of DDR3 actually being used. 800MHz DDR3 sounds like the early days of DDR2, with good old DDR2-400 :p

That 800MHz DDR3 is the 8800GTS, George. ;)

571562 2007-07-23 09:06:00 Just goes to show how bad Intel's designs are, you need massive heatpipes to stop the regulators and chipset blowing up :p

AMD 4 LIFE
