It's a normal aspect of today's polite adult society, irrespective of what some "macho" individuals say.
(Those who object most strongly are usually the ones who need it most)

"Learning to use" it implies some difficulty. What's to learn - except that roll-ons are simpler/cheaper than aerosols...?

Most men prefer unscented varieties, I find. And so do women who're wearing an expensive perfume they don't want overpowered by a cheap deodorant.
Your supermarket has so much choice it's time you explored those shelves.
.

Since this will be your first time using deodorant, please read instructions carefully when using stick deodorant. The instructions usually say "Push up from bottom" WARNING this does not mean insert in to rectum. It simple means that you have to push the bottom of the container to get the stick to come up past the rim level.

Oh not intended for Laura. Just adding to her comments about the need for it:D
P.S I love my unscented mum

Don't remind me of that blond joke, plod. :D

What is stick deodorant, by the way?

572288 2007-07-29 08:06:00 Deodorant on armpits does not just smell better it stops you sweating in the first place, some sort of sealant I believe. Don't put it anywhere else, you need to use cologne, body spray for other areas that you may want to nasally enhance in the event of those close encounters of the best kind. zqwerty (97)

Jesus Dude, you don't even know what deodorant is, and now you want me to explain the finer points of the almighty stick deodorant. Go to chemist, they will know why you are there before you ask.:D

buy a can of lynx or rexona or something you like the smell of, and once dry after your shower spray onto armpits, then put on shirt. don't hold too close, overspray is fine just don't use too much.

stick ones are piss easy, if you can't figure that out by looking at it i don't know how you got into uni... BA perhaps?

also note there is a difference between A cologne, B deodorant and C anti-perspirant,
respectively:
A "man perfume" - to impress; many guys our age don't bother/too cheap
B smell nice for the girls at uni, masks smell - your peers do it so you should too:thumbs:
C stops you sweating in the first place, masks smell; wise move

why no-one would bother to explain is beyond me, and since about you 3rd post i've been pretty sure you're asian so i dunno if you would have picked this up off your parents

OMG I was dreading someone popping up and recommending one of those cheap, nasty and foul, gag-inducing air pollutants so beloved of the teen set . :yuck:

Whatever you do Jamuz, do not listen to anyone who tries to steer you towards Lynx and Rexona . Go for something far more subtle, such as Mum unscented like Plod suggested, or, if you have to have a "manly" product, Nivea Men have roll-ons that are only slightly scented and much more pleasant .

Remember, you want to smell nice and pleasant when your partner gets close to you, not hit her with a wall of overpowering "scent" when she's five metres away from you, whether it's natural or out of a bottle or can .

Nah, you'll be fine . There's a decent bit of water between us and the wind is puffing your way so I'm fairly confident there won't be enough fumes to knock me out . :p
