755407 2009-03-11 03:37:00 I have just purchased a Linksys wireless-G adsl home gateway modem.Conditional on WDS capability.

Question 1 it is called model No wag200g. The linksys Aussie site does not recognise this model so it must be the same as ????pressf1.pcworld.co.nz

Question 2 I need this wag 200g to service a Wireless Distribution System point in another room. I haven't found any linksys data sheet that says it will, or it won't! The forum they have is not much help.

PF1ers will have an answer.

Thanks in advance

755408 2009-03-11 05:29:00 By default its an access point, transmitter only, so no, it cannot function as a repeater(WDS) Blam (54)
755409 2009-03-11 08:27:00 If you want a WDS, grab the Asus WL-520gC or 520gU for <$100, then chuck DD-WRT or (ideally) Tomato fimware on it :) Chilling_Silence (9)
