| 755984 | 2009-03-13 02:50:00 | Hi, My friend just got in a situation yesterday where he can't go to Bios He can't even boot the pc up. Windows do not show up. He was surfing the net and suddenly every thing was blacked out, he rang me @ 8.45 at night. As we just closed by, He drove to my home. Now I Can't boot, go to Bios or do anything. Only thing I can see on scree is black. * I can hear that Laptop is started (from the usual noise when it starts) * Fan also throws air from the back of the laptop. I try removing battery and refit, still no sucess. ( Bios has Password and he remembers it correctly) But we never get to that point where it ask us for Password. Nothing is shown except black screen ? Does any one know how to resolve this issue ? I suspect I can Remove RAM and Flush any rubbish went in and try restarting, but Need your advise before. Cheers |

| 755985 | 2009-03-13 04:26:00 | Graphics card is most probably faulty, or the connection between Screen+Graphics card is faulty/broken, or the backlight on the screen has died. If it is still under warranty take it back. I doubt the RAM is faulty Also, a store called QMB in Mt Roskill is offering free inspection of laptop monitor/screens until 22nd of march, here is the email they sent me: Free inspection for your faulty LCDs and Laptops before 22nd March (Normally $30) Please bring your faulty LCDs or Laptops to our Mt Roskill branch to get free inspection. | 755989 | 2009-03-15 20:57:00 | Hi Guys, I can confirm that its not RAM, I have installed my Working RAM to that laptop and still give no UI even at bootup. So I am agreed with Blam6 first comment about "Graphics card is most probably faulty" or "LCD back light is died" Laptop still in warranty (just). Will updated you guys on what was wrong when TECH People report back. Cheers , You all are always great. :) |
