| 573478 | 2007-07-28 07:59:00 | Hi Guys Sorry to talk politics but this is the only forum I know of where people are both intelligent and reasonably serious. I believe that at one stage Judith Tizard was made Minister For Auckland. Which to me seemed a good idea to get the city going infrastructure-wise. But I never heard her do or say anything, aside go to some arts show. Is still Minister for Auckland. And if so why does she never say or do anything ? There are so many initiatives and topics on Auckland. Stadium, Power Supply, Harbour bridge, Motorways, Amalgamation and we never hear from her. I do not recall ever reading about her or seeing her on tv or the radio. Did you ? Regards Digby |

| 573479 | 2007-07-28 10:35:00 | Is still Minister for Auckland. I didn't believe that. Minister for Auckland, I'm thinking no, Minister for Commerce, Minister for Education etc etc. Minister for a city?? Actually Minister for Auckland Issues. No wonder there are so many j.a.f.a comments. |

| 573482 | 2007-07-28 18:23:00 | Thanks Techie. My point is that if we do have a Minister for Auckland Issues how come she gets away with doing or saying nothing about Auckland ! Regards Digby |

Regards DigbyBecause she's a typical lazy politician. Being the cynic I am, I would expect noise to start being made by her and her promotion team about six months out from the next election... :annoyed:  |

| 573485 | 2007-07-28 22:14:00 | What should she do? Make some speeches in parliament that get shown on tv Complain about Auckland's poor infrastructure Say that Auckland has good infrastructure Complain about Auckland's many local bodies. Say That Auckland has a good local body system. Get a write up in the Herald's 10 page supplement on Auckland last week Show us her tits But at least do something to justify and earn her position. We do get to see/hear from most other ministers Regards Digby |

What makes you think that Auckland is the only divided City in New Zealand? More importantly. What would YOU do to FIX the problems you perceive? |
