| 572402 | 2007-07-25 00:52:00 | We've all done some dumb things when over-imbibing. Here's my latest... I spent nearly six hours yesterday making a special dinner for my missus... she wasn't feeling too well so I went and bought some fresh salmon fillet, which I pan fry and put onto a bed of freshly boiled vegetables, topped with a special herbed mayonnaise. May sound boring, but ah... the sauce and what the veges are boiled in are the key. I made my own chicken stock, which takes hours and hours to prepare and reduce. I boil the vegetables briefly in this stock. It's awesome! Once it's reduced it needs to be parsed (y'know, filtered) to produce a nice clean, clear stock. So after all this time, while having a few drinkies (I cook best when I have a drinkie to hand) I'm parsing the stock from hand to hand in the sieves, and momentarily get distracted. Yup you guessed it... I accidently poured the whole lot down the kitchen sink! I'd of course tasted the stock a bit during the proccess, and it was one of my best ever! *cry cry cry* Well my missus hates to see a grown man cry so she went to the supa and bought me some off-the-shelf Campbells stock, and told me not to cry. (she really wanted her salmon!) :lol: :lol: |

| 572403 | 2007-07-25 01:38:00 | Hmmmmmm well I don't drink too much anymore so let me think ..... besides doin the norty with someone you weren't suppose to ........... There is this country pub, they have a cellar under the bar floor where you hook up the kegs etc, its literally right in the bar so if you need to replace a keg you have to open up the floor and go down this dank little ladder to this dank little room ..... I wasn't suppose to be working but things were getting busy so I was asked to give a helping hand after my shift was over, I had had a few and low and behold fell down the damn hole in the floor!! No big deal tho I just climbed up the damn little ladder and went on my merry little way. Its my family's bar so not something I will live down too quickly. All the damn little farmy boys thought it was a real hoot. |

Anyways, I heard she was going to move away which upset me a bit so i made an effort to set my house up so she could come over and have a good night etc . Sent invite to her etc . When down to the local and saw mate i havent seen in ages, got pretty dam toasted and lost track of time . Came home note in the door, she came around and wanted to confess she wanted us to be more then friends . I was too late when i got to her house as she was already on a plane . :( |

I couldn't possibly post what I've done here, it would be an instant ban for horrifying everyone. Not too mention I don't even want to think about them. |

However, I also spent 3 years driving tour buses around Europe in the early 80's so lots of drunken escapades from that time in my life I would rather forget. | Bantu (52) | ||
| 572410 | 2007-07-25 04:01:00 | In the 60's I was a 19 cent drunk...in that I could get pretty wasted on 1/2 of a bottle of Annie Greensprings or Ripple...and I only did that a few times... I guess the dumbest thing I did was get drunk in the first place. Haven't been tipped for over 40 years now...even before I got religion...it just hurts too much recuperating from the night before. |

That wasn't so bad - I can still play while drunk, but unfortunately I was so drunk I forgot Steve cheats . I kept putting more in the pot, raising him hand after hand, sure the cards would turn my way eventually, and he kept smiling and pouring me more bourbon . I woke up in the morning on the floor of my garage (Melissa had refused to let me in the house), minus my car, all the money in my wallet and the leather jacket she'd given me for Christmas . On the upside, Melissa was so steamed at him she drove onto campus that morning and tracked him down during a meet and greet for some Microsoft Japan managers . Tore strips off him and then pulled my jacket off his back . Made him hand over my car keys too . The Japanese guys got the whole thing on Handycam of course and I got the tapes off them in return for a price break on their shipments of XP . Now any time Steve's needs taking down a peg or two I just threaten to put the tapes up on YouTube . |
