2007-07-26 05:49:00 Man, I would've loved to get a paintball marker for my 14th birthday, too bad that sport is pretty damn expensive.

But then again, I'm a motocross racer, so anything to do with that (gear, parts etc) for my birthdays I'm happy with. Get him into a sport (other than the usual rugby, soccer etc unless he likes that) and get him to do something different, mx, rc racing, paintball, mountain biking, and anything else that you can buy things from him to do with his sport for the next 5 - 10 years :D

2007-07-26 06:14:00 In your first post you mentioned he does play vid games often & a PS3 was a possibility but for the short useage of games - you do know Civic video et al hire out games? If he finishes them that quick it's ideal; if he likes one, hire again for another week for a few bucks. Better and cheaper than buying. mmmork (6822)
2007-07-26 06:17:00 ^ or get a RPG (Mass Effect / Oblivion) or a racing game (Forza 2 / DiRT) --Wolf-- (128)
2007-07-26 07:54:00 For paintball you want to get a big group together. Its more fun when you know everyone...for your own team anyway. Not that great just playing with randoms. So round up a few of his mates. THere is a paintball place in Hamilton just out past the dairy factory I think...that must be the forest place you're thinking about. I've beeen there its pretty good. Expensive though...cost me $80. That's using their gear. bigburger (9465)
