756430 2009-03-15 04:28:00 X2 installed plenty of those - easy to setup, range is good , never had any problems with any of them- well none that I have had people call back and say they had a problem.

I installed one of those the other day & took ages to figure out it wasn't set up for New Zealand - I actually had to change the VCI & VPI settings. In my defence, it was the last job of a very tiring day

I'm used to all the different brands already being set up for NZ when you buy them.

 Had that happen the first time as well, now its a simple matter to change them and away you go.

Hardest part is -- hands up how many people when asked actually know the Password for their ADSL, very few for the average home user - usually its " I dont have a password, never have - it just connects" Hmmmmmm:rolleyes:

Has there been any testing of these modems/routers, comparing against each other? You know like a 4850 vs a 4870, but with modems/routers. Cause other wise its kinda just personal perferance, apart from if one is known to be unstable or just gives low speeds.

756435 2009-03-15 09:26:00 Custom, based on this (pcengines.ch) and this (pcengines.ch), running the embedded version of this (http://pfsense.org/). I'm extremely happy with it; it's handled every task I've thrown at it so far without breaking a sweat. Erayd (23)

Only problem is I don’t think it supports adsl2+ :(
