| 756859 | 2009-03-16 03:45:00 | Hi Ive downloaded a legit MP3 from the Net. When I go to the folder Ive saved it in and double click the file nothing happens. If I right click it and chose PLAY nothing happens. If I right click on the file and choose Open With > Windows Media Player the icons on the desktop flicker indicating that something might be going on but nothing happens. WMP is set as the default player for this type of file, so why isnt it playing it? Alternatively, how can I get to the file from inside WMP? Im using Vista Home Premium SP 1 |

| 756861 | 2009-03-16 22:28:00 | Hi Blam Doing File -> Open works as does dragging and dropping the file into the side bar in WMP's "Now Playing window. So why don't the two options I posted work - I'm sure they did in XP? Wot's the point of them being available otherwise? And yep, this is happening with all MP3's not just the latest. PS "CTRL O" in WMP gets u straight to "Open" thus saving you one key press! |

| 756862 | 2009-03-16 23:08:00 | Not sure-try installing VLC and see if it happens. If it doesn't then it may be WMP stuffing up. If it still happens, may be the shell extension problems. Blam |
