756775 2009-03-15 07:40:00 I have a mini Pc

Small Desktop running Pentium 4 3.0ghz

At the moment the Ati Radeon 9800SE is beginning to die and I would like to replace this graphics card.Right now I have 3 options however these 3 options are affordable for me and I am not sure if my 250W support these graphics card

They are

Ati Radeon X700
GeForce 6600
Ati Radeon 7600

I've been playing Red Alert 3 and Left 4 dead and the 9800SE is coping quite well dispite a bit laggy if I choose the highest graphics quality within the game

Would anyone tell me if the 3 cards will work fine on my PC and which is the best one in terms of performance and quality?

I can't seem to find the system requirements on the manufacturer website and I would hate to take a gamble and buy one and find out my PC doesn't boot up

756777 2009-03-15 07:49:00 maybe its a 300W. Any idea how to check without opening PC? Ninjabear (2948)
756778 2009-03-15 07:51:00 Nope, not unless there's text on the outside, at the back of the case or something. Speedy Gonzales (78)
756779 2009-03-15 07:57:00 The 6600 beats the x700

*Might* work with your PSU....prob should but am unsure

756780 2009-03-15 08:02:00 If you know the model no. of your PC or make/model you can find out.

Otherwise, unscrew the thumbscrews at the back of the case, and slide out the side of the case.

On the text of the PSU it'll say the wattage

Not the vanilla 6600 I think. The 6600GT will I think.

Indeed. Sorry, I was reading a review of the 6600GT and didn't realise it!

The 6600GT mostly beats the x700 pro too I think

756783 2009-03-19 03:08:00 Should I choose
9600XT 128MB or 9800PRO 128MB?

I think they all beat my existing card but which one out of the two have better graphics?

756784 2009-03-19 03:19:00 If you have a "Mini PC" you may have to watch your cooling if you crank up the graphics. Driftwood (5551)
