574987 2007-08-01 07:45:00 Anyone have any idea of what kind of money I'd be paying for an internal door and installation in a new house?

Thanks.

574988 2007-08-01 08:17:00 Bit more detail?

Like is there a hole in the wall for the door already, or does a frame have to be cut into what is presently a wall?

Type of door? (ordinary veneer door, solid kauri or ... ?)

574989 2007-08-01 09:03:00 And do you plan to buy a new door or get one from a demolition dealer?

As godfather notes, there are many types.
Accordingly, prices vary widely.

Including frame, around $300-$400 installed, for a basic mdf hollow core door.

574991 2007-08-01 09:36:00 Preprimed MDF hollow core doors are around $50. Prehung they're around the $120 mark.

Add labour to that, so probably around the $300 mark.

574992 2007-08-01 10:18:00 That's all I needed to know. Thanks guys.

I'm planning on buying a house at 'lock up stage' and I just needed a general idea of how much I'd be paying to get doors fitted.
