574403 2007-07-31 00:52:00 I received my renewal invoice in the post yesterday for 11 issues with no information saying what period it covered . Then I remembered that in mid-June 2006 I signed for the deal that gave you 13 issues for the price of 11 which made me think this current invoice had been sent to me several months earlier than expected .

I called Fairfax and they said my new subscription began with the July issue and I said no it starts with the September 07 issue (Dec/Jan is combined issue so 11 issues per year) .

The upshot is they were wrong and blamed the switchover from IDG to Fairfax . They also said I would get an E-mail with a month's free DVD hire (as this was the deal that appeared in the July edition) but I told them I wanted the same deal as last year - 13 issues for the price of 11, (this deal also appears in the August 2007 edition, just out), which they arranged .

The woman at Fairfax was very helpful and friendly so I don't have an issue there, but if you are subscribed to PC World on this deal (13 issues for the price if 11) then be sure to check your invoice and call them up to ensure they have not done you out of your two extra issues, especially since they fail to list on the invoice what period the subscription covers . If anyone from Fairfax reads this can I suggest that your invoices include this information in future .
