You mentioned issues arrived after you changed your graphics card, why don’t you change back to your old one for a test. Have you tried unplugging each HD in turn to see if the problem goes away. |

| 757432 | 2009-03-20 01:37:00 | Someone mentioned DMA - this is probably the problem if you're using an IDE HDD. To check this - type devmgmt.msc into the run box, and expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers section. Open the Primary IDE Channel. Go to the advanced settings tab. It ought to look like the attached pic. If it says PIO in the current transfer mode, uninstall the primary IDE channel and reboot the PC. When you reboot check it again and the current transfer mode shoudl be DMA. |
