| 756823 | 2009-03-17 18:03:00 | My computer was custom built 3 years ago and the person is now unobtainable. Running on Wind Home Edition XP, all OK and not one problem in 3 years plus. Going to Windows explorer etc. to system C/Windows I find that there are approx. 100 folders in Blue font before the start of usual folders in Black font. A typical folder is labelled $NtUninstallKB885250$, $NtServicePackUninstall$. Are these folders necessary, can they all be removed, are they using HD space. Many thanks for replys. The folders $NtUninstall... (or any file/folder starting with $) can also be hidden. To do this, just go to Tools > Folder Options > View "tab" > and make sure "Do not show hidden files and folders" is selected |
