757519 2009-03-28 00:00:00 You Exactly got it, yeh that's the error message.

and someone told me that my pc's shutdown problem is happening bcz, my bios doesn't support my CPU.

Thats exactly what it means. First you'll have to find out WHAT the brand/model of this motherboard is. (Tell us what it is). Then go to the site, download the BIOS update. Depending on what the mobo brand/model is, we'll tell you what to do next

Till then, after you format the 1 TB, dont do anything else

757522 2009-03-28 02:19:00 Your CPU being unsupported by the BIOS may also be part of the cause of your problems .

You definitely need to update your BIOS, and I would definitely be returning that 1TB drive and getting another one

Updating the BIOS is easy but you have to do it exactly right .

So first of all you need to get the correct motherboard model . You said before that the box had "ASUS P5GC-MX" on it . You will need to look at the motherboard itself and see if this is also written on it .

Once you know the exact model number (from what is written on the motherboard itself) then post back here .

i can't exactly remember what ot sayed, but it sayed something like that:

does it mean, my hdd is dying or something, and if yes, than man, how can i get my data back from that hdd,bcz those files matteres lot to me.

757526 2009-03-29 19:01:00 You need the BIOS update (dlsvr04.asus.com) <- direct link

And the program to flash it with (dlsvr04.asus.com) <- direct link

Unzip the BIOS update / program, to a flash drive or floppy.

You'll also need a floppy disk (which is bootable), or a USB flash drive (which is bootable) Because you'll have to boot from it.

Read the manual on how to use EZ-flash. It may or may not work with an earlier version of the BIOS

bcz, i will format my pc after geting new 1 TB HDD.

The BIOS is a small piece of code which is stored on a flash chip on your motherboard. It is not stored on your hard drive. It can only be written to with a special program (Like the EZFlash one that Speedy put a link to)
