757419 2009-03-18 12:02:00 HDD Slow, and sound hangs.system down...need help
--------------------------------------------------
My HDD suddenly got too slow. and whenever i try to open any file from that hdd. my hole system slows down. and sound hangs too.
for example : if i open a video file from that HDD, than the video hangs and sounds hangs too. and my hole system slows down. same thing happanes with games.
i had this problem before.same thig happaned and than one of my hdd became unreadable. so i changed that hdd with new one. now the problem started again.
and i changed my graphics card recently. from NVIDIA Geforce 7100 to NVIDIA Geforce 9800. i know it's too heavy. but i chaged my SMPS with card too.

i tried every software, like "ccleaner, tuneup, ashampoo. defragmented my hdd. but none of them works.

the main problem is i can't figure out where is the problem, motherboard,hdd,proccessor,...or something else.

please i need help... i am freaking out. bcz, i can't backup all of my data.bcz, i am using 5 HDD at a time.

My system Spec :

Intel COre 2 Duo E7200 @2.53 GHZ
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA Geforce 9800
i don't know about motherboard.

757420 2009-03-18 12:22:00 Hey there, welcome to PF1:)

Lets see whats running
Download HijackThis from here and do a scan, then copy and paste the log here:
www.trendsecure.com

Also, does this problem occur in safe mode? Tap F8 on boot and select "Safe Mode"

Have you checked the temperature of the CPU?

757421 2009-03-18 12:24:00 Process of elimination, unplug things one at a time until you find the culprit.

I hope I have understood what you wanted, not easy for me to read pidgin.

757424 2009-03-19 11:09:00 My ENGLISH IS VERY BAD. so i am sorry if u guys can't understand.

-----------------------
Hi Blame6, thanks for responding. i am new in forum and expecting lot from u guys.anyway,
I scanned with HjackThis,...now what should i do with the log file? post it here?
and my system temperature is around 45
i had temperature problem after i chagned my Graphics card. .....actually this all problem came after i installed my new Graphics card. my temperature was above 100 degree Celsius !
but then i found out the temperature problem was only because of my CPU fan was covered with dust . so i cleaned the fan and my temperature came down
to 45 degree Celsius.anyway...that was like one month ago...
now...i ran in safe mode. but he problem stays. like i tested with a 2 GB file.
i copied a 2 GB file from one hdd to another one. it took like 30 Minutes.
and system hangs ... i mean not that kind of hang.that i have to reset my PC.
but the slowdown is noticeable.
and is this problem coming because i am using 5 HDD at once? some peapole told me that i should use only one with high capacity.
but right now i want solution of my current problem. because, i lost too much data before just because of this problem.
the problem was :
Suddenly one of my 5 HDD slows down too much..
than i run defragmention tool.
than Checked the Disk for Bad sector.
than when i try to open that hdd, it doesn't open.so i had to format it

757425 2009-03-19 12:19:00 Run Memtest from http://www.memtest.org/ Agent_24 (57)
757426 2009-03-19 12:30:00 Hi, Agent 24.
i don't understand what are you saying, can you explain a bit more please?
crazy4sunshine (14724)
757427 2009-03-19 12:43:00 Did you read the website?

Memtest is a program which can check your RAM (and some other parts indirectly) for faults.

Data corruption on your hard drives and slow system performance (Like 30min file copy time) can be caused by faulty RAM, or any other fault which causes corrupted data. Motherboard, PSU, CPU or RAM are often the cause.

I'm not saying this is definitely the problem but it's possible. Faulty/loose HDD power/data cables could also cause this.

If you go to the website and download the program either to burn to a CD or as a floppy disk image you then boot from that and it will automatically start testing.

Instructions are on the website, please try to follow them first and if you have any problem ask here

But first some other question: what is your PSU brand and how old?
