574367 2007-07-31 00:14:00 if you put a business site on it then yes you can claim it. use the account for surfing the web to check out work related things...then its a businesses expense.

write off anything and everything you can possibly get away with.

to quote IRD "we know you all cheat so we automatic deduct a percentage to cover for that (regardless of if you cheat or not)". so no point playing nice, get as much personal stuff through the business as you can get away with.

574368 2007-07-31 01:21:00 Any expense you incur to earn a living from your business is a legitimate business expense and can be claimed as such. You also might want to consider having your ISP change the name of your account over to your business name. cpg (8333)
574369 2007-07-31 14:14:00 There's been a lot of tax-related questions on here lately.

Any expense that has been in the course of doing business is tax deductible, regardless of who pays for it. So yes, you can claim it as an expense for taxation purposes, but you don't need to (but off course, will be your benefit to!) Simply pay it out of your own money, then transfer money from business to personal bank accounts in the form of reimbursements.
