| 757777 | 2009-03-19 07:20:00 | Windows XP SP3 IE 7.0.5730.13. Xtra Broadband Was working fine until several weeks ago. Now, if I am using IE things are OK until I mimimise it (or just do not make any keystrokes) while I do something else. Then, trying to go to ANY website the progress bar on the toolbar slowly - over several minutes - slowly expands (in blue as usual) over to the right and eventually stops about halfway. I then need to reboot to get IE to work normally. OE works fine regardless. Virus scans OK, defragged, etc - all OK. Any suggestions appreciated. I only download Windos updates that I think apply to me. |

| 757780 | 2009-03-19 22:15:00 | Could also be an add on doing something stupid, start IE with out Add ons. To test if it is ---- In XP Click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). Do what ever you normally would, then see if it works correctly after that. If it does, then one of the add ons is causing a problem. Start IE normally - Click Tools -> Internet Options, Click the Programs tab, then Manage add-ons. Disable 1 at a time until the problem stops, thats the fault. |
