| 576696 | 2007-08-05 06:39:00 | "Recombination Signatures Distinguish Embryonic Stem Cells Derived by Parthenogenesis and Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer" ......is the full title, but NO! F1 won't let the whole thing post in the title. Meatless sex? Sex with meat? (Did I say that?) Now...sex without anyone else.....the new word for the day is: "parthenogenesis" Can you say: "Fun, but not really"? Lying through his teeth, Hwang Woo-Suk, Korean cloning fraudster, did something cool but didn't know it. He rose to fame after claiming a series of remarkable breakthroughs in the field of stem cell research. Until November 2005, he was considered one of the pioneering experts in the field of stem cell research, best known for two articles published in the journal Science in 2004 and 2005 where he fraudulently reported to have succeeded in creating human embryonic stem cells by cloning. Both papers have been editorially retracted after being found to contain a large amount of fabricated data. He has admitted to various lies and frauds. and so on...... ...LINK: blog.wired.com |

| 576701 | 2007-08-06 03:35:00 | OK . . some silly Korean "scientist/biologist/truck driver" said he had invented asexual reproduction . . or at least he SAID he did . Said he did it with human DNA and gametes too . . . he lied, big time . Anyway . . . the REAL biologists called his bluff . . . he slunk away, prolly is a pop-up target for Korean Army rifle training sites . All in all, he did discover something valuable . . . but he was so dumb (How dumb was he?) . . that he didn't even know it! Now the real biologists are all laughing up their labcoats . |
