758121 2009-03-20 06:54:00 Ok, so does the TV have HDMI on it as well??

If it does, did you connect an HDMI cable to it (from the videocard)?? You need the HDMI cable

Under sounds / audio tab, is there another entry there (if you click on the arrow at the end of sound playback / default device)??

If there is, select the HDMI audio. If there's only entry here (the C media wave device), then the HDMI audio drivers havent been installed

there are two options there, windows...... and MPU 001 or something like that but none of them are for the video card maybe that is the prob?

758124 2009-03-20 07:07:00 Sounds like the drivers for HDMI sound havent been installed.

If theyre installed, there should be an option under sounds / the audio tab called ATI HD audio rear output (or similar).

And something similar to ATI function driver for HDI AUdio - ATI AA01 under sounds in device manager

Is there anything in device manager with a ? Click on ALL the +'s

It wont say anything about the videocard, it should say something with HDMI in it, if its there

1. Does the videocard HAVE a 4 pin header on it?? Saying SPDIF

2. If it does, did you connect anything to it??

758125 2009-03-20 07:24:00 th don't think the video card has a 4 pin header saying SPDIF but the HDMI sound is in device manager called"ATI HDMI AUDIO"
sorry for the late reply

758128 2009-03-20 08:06:00 aren't those for a motherboard? pcuser7895 (12979)
758129 2009-03-20 08:10:00 The ATI HDMI audio device drivers may work, I tried them on this once, didnt work

You may need IE (or IETab), for that site. FF goes round in circles
